Helping Hands Basset Rescue - Support Us‚Äč

Welcome to Helping Hands Basset Rescue!

We have been dedicated to giving bassets and basset mixes in the central Texas area a second chance at life since 2001. We've made it our mission to ensure that our basset's are happy, healthy, and ready to be part of their "furever" families before they're placed. Run as a not-for-profit by volunteers, we are always in need of more. More fosters, more volunteers, more adopters, and most of all, more financial assistance. There are so many ways that you can get involved! Take a look around our website and get to know us, then spread the word. Follow us on social media. Find us at a meet up. Sponsor a foster. Become a foster. The possibilities are endless. We look forward to getting to know you and your furry friends!

Highlighted Dogs
See all the Dogs!
Jake is a handsome dog with big paws and deep brown eyes.  He is good around cats and should do well with children.  He loves his belly rubbed.
Bazooka is a wonderful girl with a great personality.  She is fine with cats though should be watched. Great with other dogs. Was raised around children. Bazooka had way too many treats in her past life and needs to loose some weight.. She is currently on a special bland diet. She is a great watch dog and will loudly alert if there is a knock at the door or the doorbell rings (even if it's on tv!)
Welcome Einstein to the HHBR family! He’s 9 yrs old and came to us after his elderly owner passed away. He's been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccinations. He did have some dental issues and had to have several teeth removed -- looks like he'll be on soft food. He has settled in well in his foster home and even takes naps with his Big Jim, his foster brother -- who by the way is a cat.
